Unit 8 - Week 2
Amber and I were unwell for most of this week but from what I’ve heard, a lot of progress has been made. On Thursday Ed and Jack booked the studio for a couple of hours and decided to start nailing the drums. Ed and Jack set up microphones on each part of the kit and Ed also added a layer of compression to control the dynamics more. They had a good, well needed session on just drums for our longest track I Get It.
All in all, I’m so grateful that my band managed to be so productive despite my absence and I’ve been informed the drums for I Get It are practically done with just a few minor things to perhaps go over and re-do in another recording session. During my time off, I spent some time researching CD’s and how to customise them. By the end of this project I aim to have all of our track’s burnt onto a compact disc and if possible, a lyric booklet alongside a custom jewel case.
