Unit 8 - I Get It - Lyrics
I Get It is one of our older tracks now. It was written before christmas, with the purpose of being a very long track to fill time for our christmas performance. This proved to be a not so great thing when recording as it was quite difficult to get done but it’s still one of my favourites that we’ve created. As the title quite clearly states, the person singing this song doesn’t ’get it’. This is repeated very frequently throughout the song to sort of portray a frustration that despite everything, the ‘singer’ still can’t comprehend the subject at hand. As the instruments grow louder, so does the frustration until the very end where the person sort of accepts defeat and understands that they ‘won’t ever really get it’.
