Unit 8 - Week 1 The Beginning of my Project
We’re going to create a four song EP together using One Day, Paper Notes, I Get It and one completely new track.
I think I’m really going to enjoy this project as it’s a great opportunity for me to learn more about recording and mixing, which I feel I’m not the greatest at at this moment in time.
Another fun component we’ve added to our project is creating a CD. Once we’ve completed all our songs, we’re going to burn them onto a CD and create a band lyric booklet to go with it. I’m honestly very excited for this part as it’s something new I haven’t tried before. To make each CD even more unique to us, I think we should also hand-write each of the song lyrics for a personal look.
We’ve realised that as a band, we have a tendency to write our songs in the same keys (C minor and D minor) so we wanted to try and break out of this pattern. Amber was the original creator of this song as it all started from a riff she created and played for us. From here we’re going to build a song structure around it and create a track we can use for our final project.
