First Quick Sketches For The Cigar Box
First of all, I decided to draw up some quick sketches of what I want the project to look like and what information I know. I'm quite clearly not an artists but I thought this would help me have a clearer outline to what I need to achieve.
This first drawing is what I want the front of the cigar box to look like, I'm not currently sure how much room I'll have to fit everything but this is the general idea. Pretty simple on the outside, I just want to ensure everything fits properly.

Secondly, I've drawn the back of the bass, including the neck. As I already own the neck, I'm aware that it's significantly heavier than my box so I'll need to even the weight out a bit to ensure nothing snaps. I've decided to pack the insides with a strong wood wherever I can and screw into those pieces to secure everything, which I've attempted to show. I know that correct measurements are going to be very important when it comes to fits everything together.
Last up is this sketch, it's a quickly drawn version of what the interior layout could look like. As you can observe, the shaded parts are all of the wood I'm planning to pack it with and I've (very simply) drawn a layout for the wiring and screws where I'll have to secure the wood into the bridge so help with tension.

I've also created some designs of how I can place the tone knob, volume knob and input jack which I'll pop below.
